Well first time on Red Cone/Webster yesterday. I think I removed a little bit too much from my Superlift rear 1980 Toyota pickup springs. Kinked both springs coming up a ledge which totally jacked up my pinion angle. Also my rear brakeline got caught up and ripped in half (I knew I should have tied the bastard off :shaking: ) Luckily I had an old front brakeline in the bed and was able to find a bolt that could plug it most of the way with as little pissing as possible. Anyway had to come down the steep hill with no brakes.....that was a little hairy but made it out just fine. I wish I had that good of a view everytime I worked on my truck :flipoff2: Ive got new rear springs that are about 8 inches longer than stock so now I just need to figure out how to get them on!

Your question is how to get the new springs installed? If so please elaborate

luvmeye22refi...I live in breckenridge just a pass or two from red cone/webster. If you need any help getting your 'yoda fixed, I can lend a hand. I have a welder if you need to relocate the shackle mounts.
I haven't made it to red cone this summer yet; how is it? I'll be doing a little sunday drive over gerogia pass this evening then heading to buena vista to try caranage canyon w/ some friends.

Got the brakes fixed just dont have the experience with springs and shyte nor to i have the hookup to put them on. If I had the hookup they would be on now. Have a shot of getting them on by friday.....if so we should meet there. I would love to do red cone with brakes :flipoff2: Red cone was good though I loved it.... excellent view and a fun trail despite a bad day with the rig. If you really can help with the springs I will buy new spring hangers and drive there, I just dont want to be a pain in the ass. If you have time and energy to burn though please email me it would be greatly appreciated and paid back in a good way.
