ChiefSlapaHo 01-21-2002, 04:53 PM I spotted 4 IH scouts while Jeep hunting today. All 4 look in really good shape, all for sale, all located on RT. 1 from Alexandria VA towards Fredricksburg VA. I will be headed back that way on this Saturday to pick up my $20 dollar CJ6 that I found :D
BTW, they all have round headlights... pre 80 yes? One is on 33"

Yup... :D I find'em like that all the time. The best one was when I stopped to look at a 61 willy's sitting in the yard and the wife asked if I could get it out of the yard by 6pm... I replied yes and she gave it to me for free, title was in her name and she signed it over. Husband that never got around to fixing it got home at 6:eek:

And you'd save yourself all the trouble of boxing a Jeep frame and then swapping every IH part *but* the body into the Jeep. :D
Really, if you took a 258 SII, pulled the tub off, put a CJ6 tub on it.. you'd be taking a short-cut to get to where all the other Jeeps are heading.
OK OK.. you'd really need to do a 350 conversion to be like every other Jeep, but maybe a classier 401 swap...
