Hello. Any of you guys running the Predator battery? I always see them in pairs, wondering if one will do the job. Running a Premier Onboard welder, and a winch that gets used. A lot. Want info. I could stick that little bastard in the glove box!

I run the 1700 amp version in my stock battery tray in a TJ. I doubt that you can find new stock Predators any longer. They switched the name to Odyssey awhile back. Same battery, different name.

They have no limit on the inrush current, so it's not good to mix them with flooded cell type batteries. The current demand from the dry cell to the alternator will boil them dry very quickly.

The answer to your question is Yes, one will do the job dependant upon the size you get.
