Oh man, the water made it really hard. I thought we were never going to get past that spot. The wife worked this weekend so I was just staying out of trouble :D
add a bit more mud, some roots, and a little rain and that'd be like wheeling a few of the trails around here not to many have that many rocks usually a lot more mud...
Nice pics as always

Amen. Here's a couple shots of a ditch we tackled this weekend - the side we're climbing was actually rock (it was down there, somewhere) with about 3 inches of loose soil on it, and isn't hard to scale normally - except that it rained a lot this week. It was WAY muddy.
Here's me in the ditch: (Trade 33" MT/Rs for Boggers, anyone?)

A sandrail converted to mud use with a locking diff, and some 33" swampers cut into paddles:

OUR straight-bodied Blazer... a little closer to stock? Yes Damaged his sheetmetal on trail? Yes.

A guy with boggers tried to climb this hill, and started sliding just a *little*:

This trail actually uses *THE RIVER* as an obstacle. In case you were wondering, it's more fun to drive in the river, than fish in it

Where are the sammy pics? Uh, he was supposed to come, but backed out beacuse it was 'going to be too muddy'. I wish I had - can I come live at your place for a couple months, and wheel on rock? Pleeeeeeeeeeze? A tree stole my marker light, and I (re)dented every panel. But the gas door is still straight, and the windows roll down.

I think you'd be along better than you are now if you either put it in 4x4, or got a front locker....;)

3 tires out of 4 isn't bad.
But yeah... front locker (and twinstick so I can turn) goes in after the solid axle does. A lockright for the V6 3rd member is only $197! And lockrights seem to hold up really well in Toyota axles, unlike Jeeps.
I was actually moving pretty good when that picture was taken - but the photo looks like I'm sitting still spinning my tires... a little motion blur wouldn't be too much to ask, would it?
Oh, Chris - it looks like you're running a Ramsey 8K up front now, correct? What - weren't you up to the challenge of mounting an 8274 on that thing?

Nope, 5k, keeping it light.

scwafish 01-23-2002, 07:37 AM As always, GREAT pics. That squeeze looked brutal for everybody bigger than your zuk, how'd your rig fit?

The two guys riding in it were dressed in full rain gear on top of a set of waders - They were prepared. They even had a storage compartment specifically for a towel to wipe their faces off with. :D
... And it's gotta be weird looking over your shoulder and seeing the shock mounted right there.

That would be the picture under the Blazer in the first sequence. Could have gone thru with a door open :)
Flipper 01-23-2002, 08:10 PM Were the mud pictures taken in the Covington Pike Bottoms?
I thought they were closed down (I used to live in Memphis...moved to Kentucky 2 1/2 yrs ago).
I had a lot of fun down there.
