Ok, i just got a 84 bronco for free, it has a 351 HO 4 barrel, c6 tranny, and a 9" rear end. But it isnt charging the battery, it doesnt drain when the key is off, even if it sits for two weeks. I got it and the old owner installed a new alternator, voltage regulator, and igntion box. I get like an hour of use and then the battery is dead. I checked, and the wire coming off of the alternator only shows 12.2 v, same as the battery, does that mean that the new alternator is $hit? also, would this cause it to run crappy? when i got it the thing it ran like a raped ape, but kinda seemed to go downhill from there, now when hill climbing it has a hard time spinning the tires, even in 4 lo. I havent had a chance to charge the battery full up again yet. It would be a HUGE help if somebody could tell me where the wires on the voltage reg. should go, or at least what color wires the different ones on the reg. go to, because only like 3 of the 8 wires on the thing are currently hooked up.
thanks in advance,
Ryan
