Anyone running one of these? My buddy wants to run one in his XJ and was wondering the performace of them. All ready upgrading to a 3 core radiator, was just wondering if any of you have had any experince with them.

I am running one on my 360 in my GW. I also got a new fan and clutch when I replaced the water pump. Its been running good, with noticeably cooler temps.

One thing to be sure of is run a hose that has the metal coil inside it, I guess the high-flow pumps can colapse a non-supported hose.

Runnin' one on a 304. No cooling issues at all. (Also got a custom 4 row radiator, though.)
Dunno 'bout the pump for the 4.0 (or whatever he's got in the XJ) but w/ the AMC 8 version, the plate on the back of the pump vanes (and the rivets holding it on) will gouge out the timing cover behind the pump if you don't run AT LEAST two pump gaskets behind the pump.

Good call, I forgot to mention that, I ran the two gaskets that came with my pump. One gasket was not enough on the 360.

Thanks for the info. I'll let him know. He just got a 3 core radiator in lastnight after a couple beers it was done and it helped a ton out here in AZ. He is still gonna do up the pump though. :D

My buddy has one in his '77 CJ5 with a 304. It used to run hot even with all the other cooling stuff taken care of, he put the flowkooler in and it works badass. The only problem is the heater doesn't work worth a damn, which sucks cause he'll take off and drive it to Colorado and Utah.

I switched from stock to an Edelbrock high flow, am also using Water-wetter, did both at the same time and I notice alot lower temps.

I run one on my CJ with a 360 in it. I would run hot on the freeway.. I have a noticable drop in temps.. Run the two gaskets and one of their thermostates.

Worth the money.
