Does anyone know what the stock height is for an 85' 4Runner. I am thinking mine may have a little bit of a lift on it. I am looking for the following measurements......

1. Center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender.
2. Ground to frame where the crossmember is.
3. Ground to bottom of the center of crossmember.

Thanks,
Kurt

low, most of the non wheelers usually put bigger tires on there so that may be where your lift is coming from, but IIRC they are the same height as the trucks. based on your sig you have a stock 85 truck to compare it to

Yes I do. I assummed they were the same height. My truck has 29" tires and my 4Runner has 31"'s. I am thinking most 4Runners came with 29's though because the 1st Gen. Runners I have seen look a little smaller then mine.

With stock 225/75-15 tires (the only size they came with in '85):

1. 22"F, 18½"R
2. 15¾"
3. 9½"

Note: the first three measurements were all taken from the passenger side. The driver side sits a little lower (21", 17½", 15¼") probably due to the extra weight of the driver over the years.

Bear in mind this 4Runner has 19 years and 235K miles worth of spring sag. Finding one at stock height anymore is probably near impossible althought the passenger side of mine is undoubtedly closer than the driver side.
