Need help with a carb ?. On my 74s fuel inlet on the carb it has a banjo fitting . This fitting has a small nut in the center with a adjustment screw under it . I have not been able to find this setup in any of the manuals. Can anyone tell me if this is a US or NON US carb and what years it applies to. Thanks for the help

Dump it and get fuel injection! Or hang with a buddy who is getting it and grab his old non-usa carb before he changes his mind!

I just recently did a conversion on my 60 with some stuff from Downey and a lot parts from the junk yard (including harness).

If you really want the benefits of EFI, its doable. Its just not easy.

I promise I will get my site with the conversion lowdown up and running soon! (LSLC folks will roll their eyes) :) I'll list all the pros, cons and gotchas; as I had a pretty good learning experience getting it work...

The banjo fitting is typical of all F and 2F carbs. I found out the hard way (rebuilt entire fuel delivery system) what it is for. If you look at the end where the fuel return line hooks up, you will notice the hole is very small. This provides just enough back pressure to keep fuel in the bowl. I had removed mine when I replaced fuel lines and went straight from carb to return line. On inclines or when I really stepped on the gas, I would empty the carb bowl and stall out.

Bottom line: You need the banjo fitting on all F and 2F Aisin carbs with return lines.

HTH, BTW what's the problem? You never said?

Oh yeah, :flipoff2: Newbie

The prob is ,when I was cleaning the carb out I did not have the adjustment screw down far enough. so when installing the small screw that covers the adjustment screw in the banjo I messed up the slot on the adjustment screw. I can not find this adjustment screw in the cats. from sor or manafre. Just waned to know where to get one.
