I currently have a FS 86 bronco with AOD and bw1345. THis tcase seems huge! I am swapping it into an 89 BroncoII and just was wondering if the bw1356 or another tcase would bolt right up to the AOD and is any smaller and still able to take the more HP and torque? Opinions are welcome.

sure, any fullsize unit will bolt up, but I doubt you will get a 13-56 or any chain drive ford unit to fit between the frame rails..

I meansured the bw1345 i have now and it was 22.5" wide. the frame was approx 5" wider when i put up 22.5" between my frame rails. I could cant it slightly like my stock bw1350 is to save an inch or so. I really wanted to know if any 1 case was better then another.

well, that 22.5" is offset.. so you won't have 5" to spare, thats for sure.. the on in my F-150 is damn close to the frame rail from the factory.

But as far as the chain drive T-cases go, the 13-56 is about as good as it gets.. they don't really "break" but the pumps go south on them, causing failures..
The 13-45 has a marginaly lower low range though.

Is there a tcase that is a bolt on to my AOD without an adaptor that is smaller then the bw1345 or 1356?

you could use the NP205, it does weigh twice as much, and only has a 2.0 lowrange, but at least its builet proof, plus you can twin stick it!

He runs a jeep 208, with a ford input in it, to make a compact, tough, case with a low, low range, that fits between the rails of a ranger.
