Hey guys, need some more help w/ my 205. I recently bought a 1310 CV yoke to use an XJ driveshaft (lengthened) on the front of my NP-205. Got the yoke, nice and shiny new...got the old one off easy...went to put the new one on and the outside body of the yoke is decently smaller than the seal on the front cover thing that the yoke slides thru over the shaft.

The original yoke that was on it was a regular 1330, and the outside body has a larger dia. (which I didn't realize until I went to put the new one on).

Anyway, I just emailed the company and asked for their advice, but if I could get some help from you guys it would make life easier. Anyone run into the same problem? What seal did you use?

If you feel the need to flame me for using 1310 stuff, that's ok too. :flipoff2:

It's a Ford 205, 32 spline if that helps. Thanks

Dont know how much help I am but....

Most of my GM205's used a 1310 non cv yoke stock. I would go to the parts store and make them go through a bunch of differnt years and get the right seal. I dont know what years used a 1310 CV yoke though sorry.

Was doing some searching and found that some early 70's Chevy's came w/ 1310 yokes. Would a "transfer case front output shaft seal" from a '72 K10 4x4 1/2 ton w/ a 205 fit? I was looking on Napa's website and found it for $12.49. #NOS17716. Sorry these are stupid questions. :grinpimp:

Well, Napa has stupid hours. Made it to Advance Auto  and we went thru all of the seals on their shelves. Some were close, but not right. I ordered one for a Chevy K10 NP205, and it'll be in tomorrow. Hopefully it'll work.

I also got an email back from the company, and all they said was to go to Napa and check to see what fits. :shaking: They don't offer a seal for the fawking yoke that they sell.
