cool. i sent you a pm. thanks!

I wanted to try that ledge but with the motor banging so hard my thought was if i tryed to power up it and lost the motor at the top(only one way i was coming down On the LID) so I passed.. Should have the new motor done shortly and then it will be back for some more testing and then Rockports rock challenge in Sept.

i didn't really try to hard due to lack of a spotter. my front left tire was lifting and i didn't want to roll too hard. the tires were grabbing good. if i were to give it alittle gas i think i would have made it.

okie zuk is the guy in the pick and he was kida spotting me but neither one of us could see the other side of the truck. i WILL be back to go up it though. you can count on that. :flipoff2:

Some of the seperate events had small turnouts, but the 'Melt itself had over 200 vehicles registered (participating) and turned out pretty good despite the flooding rain... it made the trails a little more interesting though! I think there were alot more people out on the trails this year.

Here is a shot from the Rally...

Wow! That is the smallest Group pic that I can remember in recent years. Was it because of the weather or just smaller attendance?

Neither.
If this was a single trail event with a decisive start and finish then it would be easy.
We have tried to schedule the picture shoot for a different time each year (based on participant suggestions) and it seems we can't please everyone. Some folks start showing up as early as Tuesday and by Saturday morning they are already broken. Others don't show up until Saturday morning and haven't gotten registered and ready in time for a Saturday morning shoot. As I said above, there were over 200 trucks registered. But with the wide number of events and trails available it is like pulling teeth to get people to show up for the picture.

I don't have the name handy, but from the look on his face he was quite pleased! This was probably the best (and most thoughtful) grand prize we have ever had the pleasure to give away. Thanks Rocky Road Outfitters!

did they really photoshop the guys out of the back?

did they really photoshop the guys out of the back?

Didn't have to. They moved down with the crowd when they were told the simple facts. I think one (black truck) actually just took off.
We wanted everyone at approximately the same angle so everyone would have an equal chance to be in the pic. We were hoping for more to filter into the back but had to shoot the shot so we could get out of the park on time. Troy (park owner) gave us a deadline and we wanted to stick to it. Evidently there were some folks that 'took their time' the night before and Troy wasn't very happy, he couldn't let his staff go home until everyone was out.
