I am considering swapping a pickup front end into my cruiser, but need to know the difference in spring width. Has anyone done thiss swap yet? How do you like it? The reason for this swap is the simplicity and low cost of finding one.

To do it you will probably have to outboard the springs.

The mini front end has a shorter short side than a FJ does.

Just get a cruiser front end. They are pretty easy to find.

FJ40 spring width is about 27" and mini spring width is about 29".
