I am wondering if anyone has put a 1998 or newer 4.3L chevy in a YJ. I am looking to do it and need some recommendations and help. I haven't really decided on a drivetrain yet, so that isn't a issue.

shorter drivetrain equals longer rear driveshaft equals more articulation sounds good to me

dont forget to replace all your gages, Tranny, wiring harness, t-case, axles, HUMMM to much money

if you want a longer wheelbase cut your rear fendersout move your gas tank up (do a search) move your wheelbase back however much you want)

Much cheaper

Gauges, t-case, and axles?????? You don't have to swap any of those for this swap.
