I Had Planned To Use A West Coast Set-up Too, But Ended Up Making My Own. It Turned Out A Hell Of A Lot Stronger And Better All Around. Besides I Put In A 91 3.0 Instead, Good Lower Tork. Have Fun!

I have a ford 2.8v6 in my samurai, easy install. I bought the motor mounts from wild west off-road. I have been running it for about 3 years. I am happy with the 2.8, though plans are to put a 4.0 ford in it.

never herd of a ford 2.0 v6 though. If you are talking about the 2.0 4cylinder, can't imagine why you would want to put that in a samurai, you talking 80hp there.

weight my son weight, you ever hear of PINTO BEANS, the 1600 and 2000 can easily and cheaply be built to 200 hp, Ive done it in the past for a sand rail also the inline design always has more torque than the V by design.

Id die for a good TBI 2.0 and a C4 fir a zuke. torquey and tons of low end.

Which tranny did you use ? Zook trans with adapter ?
The 2.8 V6 is the so called "Cologne-Engine" made by Ford in Cologne Germany and came in different sizes: 2.0, 2.3, 2.6, 2.8, 2.9 (also in a Cosworth 24 valve version) and the 4.0 which is in the Explorer/Ranger line.
They're still made in Germany.
The engine itself is a very reliable workhorse and should be widely avail. also in the US. Fuel injected 2.8's out Granadas and Capris put out 160+ HP stock and can be get with factory turbos and up to 210+ HP's.

In europe 160 in us rated at 110 bhp and 2.8 and 2.9's where used. I like the 2.0 4 cyl all the coswerth accesories bolt right on and can produce 200 hp and be totally drivable. Id go with the ford C4 auto that came behind most in teh granadas and capris. basic bulletproof auto trans

I used a 2wheel drive short shaft c4 to the zuki tcase. had to move the tcase back 2".

From the information I have found, the 2.0 pinto motor weighs in at about 286lbs and the 2.8 is about 305lbs. Couldn't find any info on the 1.6 pinto motor.

I personaly think the 4.0 would be the way to go, as that is what I am getting ready to do.
