my girlfriend just called me crying and told me that her money got stolen AGAIN!!! About 2 weeks ago her account got liquidated by someone in spain. This time it was in Washington(state I assume) She got her money back after it happened last time and has only used her card 2-3 times since she got set up with her new account and new atm card. Once was at Lyons the other night when we had dinner, another was at the gas station and I think she used the banks ATM once. Her account got liquidated AGAIN last night. This is fucking bullshit!!! Twice in the same month??? Im sorry but something is going on. She hasnt used her card online or anywhere that anyone could get to it. She had an appt today that she is probably gonna have to cancel, she still hasnt paid for fall classes(my mom said she would help her out though which is good). There is no freakin way Im letting her stay w/this bank. There is absolutely NO REASON for this to happen.

Did you tell the bank that someone has access to their info.. its unbelievable but you actually have to tell them that their own files have been compromised and they should look into it.

Does she send any info through email? does she check her balances online? Some viruses put keylogging programs on your computer and send the info back to the virus writers. If they get her bank login and password, it may have enough personal info to get access to her account. How are they "cleaning her out"? she opened an account at BofA today and its gonna take like 10 days to get her money refunded from us bank.

She needed to change at LEAST bank account #'s after the first incident, if not the entire bank.

I heard something about a scam where people put a card reader in the credit card apparatus in gasoline pumps and you can't see it and don't notice it until to late. anyhow good luck getting straightened out.
