Continuing the exocage, Dustin had to design and build a completely new bumper. It will be tied into the rest of the cage. You'll see when it's done. Here's what he did tonight...

Where does  cooler mount?

What model Miller is that, and what size wire are you using to weld with.

Will this guy do work for anyone, or is he just a friend? I'm looking for some one to build me a cage for my fullsize clubcab.

Dustin is a friend but he will work for $$$$. :D Email me your number and I'll hook you up. He does have a job and a wife and young kid so his welding work is 'on the side'. You'll have to talk to him...

The welder he's using is a brand new Miller 175. I think he's using .35 solid wire with gas. It's an awesome unit. Every time he pulls the helmet off, he has this huge grin on his face. He really likes that welder. :D:D:D

I just settled on the Hobart version and wired it in tonight. Quite possibly one of the best welders I have ever used. I still can't wipe the grin off of my face :D You've just got to give one a shot sometime. In the sub 1k MIG level, I really don't think that you will find a better bargain. The only reason that I didn't spring for the miller was $$$. Couldn't justify the extra $100 for the infinite voltage and aluminum roller housing.

I hear ya. I bought the Hobart 175 myself but I don't have enough experience to weld up a cage so that's why I'm paying Dustin to do it. The Miller is part of that payment. I bought it for him. :D:D:D

DAYUM! Why can't I get paid like that?!?! Oh well. Get yourself a heap of scrap and about 10 pounds a wire. Spend the weekend running beads and then smacking them hell out of them with a sledge. You'll get pretty confident in no time :D
