I want to start lifting my truck the cheap and in expensive way, what are my options the cheapest kit i found so far was from genuine suspension and its a 4 in kit. Is this kit any good I know its cheap but will it last? Are there any more options? That are cheap? I want to get my toyota as much clearance as possible over time. i want to start with leaf springs and flipped u bolts. then later want to add some shackles? What are my best bet on different kits?

most off the shelf lift kits ride stiff and have limited articulation , save your money for a better designed set up , you can find used springs in the for sale section for pennies on the dollar , so far I have less than $300.00 into mine and that is with front and rear springs not add a leafs or blocks , that is including dropped drag link and shocks

I was in the same boat. I was going to get the genuine kit but everyone here said it would ride like a tank and flex about the same. I did a little searching and ended up with chevys and allpro's. Rides great and flexes pretty good. With the shocks and drop drag link I have about $500 in it.

Or 2" shackles and get 5" of lift. Other option would be a sawzall as others might suggest.

Do gearing and lockers and pound in the body seam at the firewall for front tire clearence. ...... some longer shackes and a 1 or 2" body lift you can run 33"s

Get sliders and good bumpers........

Save your money for the expensive stuff....... X-over steering!!!
