Bull trout meetings in Elko, Twin Falls
RENO - The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will host two informational
meetings about the agency's proposal to designate critical habitat for
the Jarbidge River bull trout population and the species' draft recovery plan.
The first meeting will be Monday in Elko at the Western Folklife Center, 501 Railroad St. The second meeting will be Tuesday at the Shilo Inn and Suites, 1586 Blue Lake Blvd. North in Twin Falls.
Meetings in both locations will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
According to the Fish and Wildlife Service, the purpose of the meetingsis to give the public an opportunity to gather information and submit written comments on these documents. There will be a brief overview presentation shortly after the start of each meeting period, however,and the public is invited to attend the open-house-style meetings at anytime during the scheduled hours.
Fish and Wildlife Service staff also will be present to answer questions one-on-one throughout the meeting time.
Comments on the critical habitat proposal also may be mailed to John
