OK, total Newbie question. I've got a K1500 w/ the standard 6 bolt hub and cheesy low-end wheels. I just want a set of black steel wagon wheels like AR767's. Since GM has this f'd up offset, what backspacing and size wheel should I pick up for a LT265/75/16 BFG AT and keep it under the factory extended flares?

Like I said total Newbie question. This thing is just a tow rig/daily driver which isn't going to get anything more then AT tires, couple skids and rock sliders.

Best bet, go to a reputable tire store and ask them. They normally have these facts as to what you can run and the correct backspacing you need to have.

The peckers at the tire shops just keep going on how nothing will fit but 'these three wheels', 'we have nothing in black steel', 'why would you want that anyway?'...just plain assholes. Guess I'll just have to make some measurements and see what happens.

Didn't anyone replace the cheesy stock wheels on their tow rig?
