He is probaly talking about the TBI early 302. If you already have it use it but with a regular carb and if you don't have it then don't get it. Go with a newer EFI.

well my prob. is that we put this tbi 5.0 in a bronco and we are having wiring harness problems and nobody seems to sell a harness for this aplication I need to find a company that has this harness or try to get the one that we made to work but it is turning into a nightmare:mad3: no one here has put a tbi unit in and made their own harness?

why would you sugest a carb over the tbi unit?

Ford called there TBI CFI for Central Fuel injection. They only used it a couple years but it works fine. I run it now. Make sure you get the one that uses EECIV not EECIII computer.

Just if you are having trouble finding a harness and are not able to build one your self than a carb would be the easy way to go. My self I love fuel injection but I use newer ford and chevy systems and keep all sencers intacked and they work great. just my $0.02

Fords tbi is nothing like gm's set up and it is overly complicated...no one makes harnesses for this engine because nobody wants one (except you) go to the boneyard or call around the shipping will be cheap but you would be happier in the long run with a carb setup or better yet a setup off a later mustang, i am sure an '88 sd setup is cheap.
