So what's next? Looks like you kept the main hoop and will add to it? How so? And will the fuel cell sit fore or aft? And... bobbing the bed? How far? Why? If you need the clearance, why not just tube the back end? Or are you...?
Looks good!! Can't wait to see what you do next.

Hey Paul, the main hoops just holding up the top for now, it'll get swapped out ,too. I'm bobbing enough that the rear tires will stick out past every thing. (haven't actually measured it yet) The fuel cell sits in the middle as close to the front as I can push it and an optima on both sides. (the optima in the pic's is just a temp. mount.) And the frame gets the ends wacked off.I'm hanging the new rear off 1/4 eliptics, so a bunch of the frame past the axle centerline will go. The body side panels will mount to the cage at the sides (and be removable).
I've been running cage designs thru a program, tryin to get a safe set-up without wasted tubing and space. And get everything mounted too it that I want. Hi-lift, spare shafts, cooler, etc. It's harder than I thought. And i'm losing the stock dash, going to a CJ lookin home made, and that'll give me more room up front for bars.
BTW, it's paid off, it's a '98, and it's got 27,143 miles...kinda a beater now...:flipoff2:

Still under warranty, huh? You should take it to as dealer and tell them it's making a funny noise or something. ;)

Mine was a beater the day I got it. Sold my CJ for more than I paid for the TJ. Now that's economizing! Problem is, the TJ has gotten so out of hand I had to get a tow rig, most expensive Jeep accessory I've bought yet.
