The Jeepster board has tons of info.
The people on the board are about 50/50 on modifying and restoring. I just got one running less than a month ago. The springs differ from most anything out there. I did a spring over because the only decent springs made for the rigs are from Alcan and they are costly. Is the one you are looking at stock or has it been modified? What shape is the rig in? Rust?
They are fun rigs if you set them up right.
