I have a 1979 SII that i am in the process of getting road worthy. I got it real cheap knowing that it needed a bunch of work. I was wondering if anyone has converted the newer plastic tail lights to the older style tail lights. I have access to 2 1976 scouts for parts and was thinking of using those tail lights. the only problem is the dumbass i bought the 79 from cut all the tail light wires. :mad3:

If you can't figure out three wires and a ground, go back to the BB!

I was going to suggest an orange triangle on the back and get rid of the lights all together, but, using a test light you should be able to wire up the older style lights easy enough, although the newer style is nicer to have. any help rack at the parts store will have the plugs your needing.
