ok, my special, misguided one. lets give this a whirl eh?
So I think that a bearing went out in my T-case. it mkaes some bad noises and vibrates when hot. ---- WOW! Do you want a cookie! I remember when i had my first bearing failure, my dad bought me the company of a woman for the evening... but she smelled like old feet and looked alot like Pendy.
Its amazing how little people pay attention to "bad noises." Like when DieLucas! Gets drunk and beats his wife... his neighbors pay no attention.
bizarre... really!
Is this a comon problems on these POS? ---- Well, of course that depends on age/mileage, use, maintenance history, which bearing you speculate has bitten the dust. you see, my little snuggle-boofy-woofy, you have given us only speculation and boyhood frustration. Now we all know what its like to be ignored by the pretty girls, but that is no reason to take it out on your equipment.
Is it easy to rebuild the case or should i just get a used one?----- ok, again, you need to figure out what bearing exactly you are speaking of, and you need to think about how long you ignored the "bad noises" (isn't that an M. Knight Shamalamadingdong movie?). Lets play a game of make believe, and say that it was in fact the front output shaft bearing. If you have ignored the "bad noises" long enough, it could have done major damage to the output shaft of the t-case, or if when you hear bad noises you crawl under the table and suck your thumb rather than drive fast, your bearing may be the only problem.
THNX
BTW no "search" option so thats why I'm asking.
-----
the moral of the story is to actualy do some of your own investigation before posting on a board such as this. I mean think about it dude, you didn't even perform an inspection of the component that was making the "bad noise."
You came crying to us expecting us to be able to diagnose your problem and make reccomendations based on a 5 incomplete sentances and a picture of flames that makes me wonder if perhaps there are some underlying sexual frustration issues we should deal with before worrying about your transfer case.
