does anyone know the air gap setting on a 79 prestolite didtributor

The magnetic pickup mopars specify .008-.010" with brass feeler gauge.

the distributor is off the old engine and waiting to be put on the new one, so i just used a metal feeler guage, will that screw up anything?

Considering that I lost my feeler guages, and just eyeballed it on my truck, I'd say you don't have anything to worry about.
