TTT for ya

glad to see someone doing this now, hopefully I won't need it anytime soon since I just got mine in my D44 front this last May. Just out of curiousity, how much is a few feet, let's just say 8 feet of the standard blue line?

How much for a refurb kit? I'd like to toss a new solenoid and some new air line/fittings/ferruls in when I build the new buggy, all that stuff is around 5 years old. Throw in some new o-rings and piston seals to.

Jim,

Here is a pic of the fitting I broke. It is teh fitting that actualy screws in the dana 44 housing (F250 79 HP 44), and goes to the line. Let me know if you have one.

Sorry, it has been a busy week! I should have the part, but there are 4 different styles of the bulkhead assembly and I can't tell from the picture which one you have. Are you close enough to bring it by? If you happen to have the serial number from the locker I can find out which style it is without taking it apart. In any case the whole bulkhead assembly is between $10 and $20 depending on the style.

You'll need to pop the cover to change it out, so you may be able to get to the serial number right on the diff. If not, pull the inner line off the bulkhead assembly. What we need to know is if the inner line has a ferrule or an o-ring on it inside the bulkhead, and if it is a ferrule, what size is the tubing? Let me know and we'll go from there.

Jim,

Thanks! I thought with the dif model and year woudl work, but did not know there are 4 different models. Will work on taking this puppy apart and let you know. Most likely I would have to take it apart anyways to fix it up, so not an extra step :)

Thanks,

Gui

I need the same thing for one of my front hp60s.
I guess I`m lucky I saved the box and manual for it :p

Hopefuly that has the info I need to get the replacement part.

Hey Gui, did yours break cuz you were running a SS line? That's why mine did.. SS + snow = torn line & broken fitting apprently.
I also broke the SS fitting 3 times and finaly went wtih some better line and built a guard then this part broke!
When I get it fixed I`ll be making my guard/retainer for the line so it pulls/pushes against the guard and not this fitting!

--- To ghetto fix the above --
I took the fitting that goes outside the diff a nut that fit snugly around it and then welded them up.
Then I pressed this new ghetto fitting agianst the lil nipple (remove that bolt outside of housing to see it).
I applied preasure and welded up around it to the housing... worked great but after 5 minutes the diff
would preasurize and leak. Worked great until I forgot to turn off the arb once and diff fluid spewed out! LOL.
-- End of Ghetto Fix --
(This was the day before a trip hence why I did it)

Now I`m gona fix it right! Heh

Todd, hahah, my ghetto fix was worse and involved JB weld, held for a few tries on the trail :) Mine broke because teh fitting bashed wen teh front spring hanger mount broke :( On the trail. Ans had to rig it up to get home :) I will have some time to take the dif apart, so hope to find teh serial inside :) Where is the serial on teh ARB?

Thanks,

Gui

DO u guys sell a kit to shorten up the length on the steel braided lines, and the fittings?

Unfortunately, ARB doesn't have anything available to modify the length of their steel braided lines. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do to help out.
