I've got a 6" front SKYJACKER lift spring on my 78 crewcab, and the shackles are hitting the frame under compression. Who makes longer shackles for the front? Plus, has anyone converted their front frame bushings to poly, and who makes em? I'm a IH Scout dude with little knowledge of these dang MOPAR things. Thanks!:rasta:

Just make some out of some 3/8 strap. I have some 6 inch center to center ones I made that were too tall for my application. I think the ones that worked good were 4 inch center to center. If you want want them, I will throw them in when you buy the tires:D

Sorry brudda, I got a screamin deal on some bfg mt'/ 589's from Brandon's dad in Oceanside. I picked them up on my way to BAJA last month. What a great trip!
electrical fire in LA PAZ, head lights going on/off whenever they wanted to, littered the desert with many trim screws, leaking front drive axle seal, 35's kissed and crumpled right fender, death rattles, blown mufflers, radiator blew 2 holes (of course at the bottom of the core), 8 mpg with gas @ $2.20/ gal., the list goes on............I'm so fortunate to have so much fun. And  and :blender: were $$$'s. What happened to MEX:mad3:

I remember seeing your frame bushings were replaced w/poly. Who's got'm? Did you put a second lock nut on those shackle bolts yet, or are you still going for max articulation?:rasta:

Rancho had a master bushing set for the Ramcharger. Body mounts and spring bushings. I don't know about the pick up. Longer bolts and double nuts are on the agenda for the shackles this weekend. Later,

I extended the shackles on a 74, I found two options, the cheap shackle kit from Napa, which is as simple and basic as you can get, or you can buy some extended shackles made for a 70's chevy, you have to drill the chevy shackles out because dodge uses a bigger shackle bolt I think 1/2". You can either buy the solid type or the greasable.

Go to www.offroadexchange.com
In their online store they have extended shackles and replacement poly shackle bushings.

BTW, I also have a 6" Skyjacker springs on my '75 W200 Club cab. The frame is thicker on the cc's so the spring will be much closer to the frame than on regular Dodges. My spring is no where near hitting the frame, but I installed a set of Skyjacker front fitted leaves (add-a-leaves). It sits higher than 6" (nearly 8") and rides a little rougher, but I like it.

Thanks T.V.. Thats just what I needed. I was thinking of adding a leaf as well. I have some "add a leaves" from the stock packs that I thought I'd try. Where do your leafs go? Bottom, or somewhere in the middle of the pack? How long are they? Thanks mucho!
