k, im pretty uneducated when it comes to knowing about what combos will or wont work.....how do i know which would work and what wont? can the different parts be mixed and matched by different adapters or something or what?

If you have enough money, anything will bolt up to anything else.
To help:
I'd say search for what combination you are most interested in and go from there.
You'll be surprised what you'll find.

Go over to Novak or Advanced Adapters web pages and start consuming information...there are adapters for damn near everything...and Like Indy said you can adapt anything to everything with greenbacks ($$$$)

Yeah some people even find it beneficial to say what kind of vehicle they are working on and maybe even state what pieces they have or might be buying.

well i dont have anything and im not plannin anything particular right now, just building the knowledge base right now

I would suggest you start at the top of the forum list and work your way down then. There is no way in one thread we could possibly round up all that information because of the infinate variables.
There are many many debates over which engine is best, which tranny (auto or stick), which transfer case gearing or dual case or single, then you still have to get into what axle gearing you are going to use multiply that by the number of possible vehicles you could put it into and WALLA you just invented a need for this website. And has been and is currently being written about daily.
