how do you cut and turn a d44 chevy front end? i understand how you have to cut the factory welds and heat up and turn the knuckles but what do you do about the passenger side spring mount that is molded into the third-member? it needs to be turned for the pinion angle to work

to keep the original mount I would think you need to pull the tubes from the center and rotate the tubes.. but aint going to happen like that... you will need :new tubes, c's, reweld.

to correct the pinion angle and not change the tubes you can get steel shims and weld them to your exsisting perches, many venders on the board sell these shims in many degrees. once you have the pinion turned up-do a cut and turn of the c's to correct caster back to a usable number.

depends on how much you need to turn up your pinion, a little grinding on the third and some ovaling off the top plates and it will go together
