I have a 95 Ram 1500 with and auto tranny, A couple of times after the truck has been sitting for a day or two it take a while for it to slip into drive and if the truck sits overnight and I put it into reverse it's like the e brake is on or It's kind of slugish at first. I read another post and this sounds like it's normal for my truck, is it?

Thanks,

Scott

Sounds like a leaking check valve, that is letting the torque converter drain down. The valve is in the lower trans cooler line, where it goes into the radiator. Need to replace it, or just put the trans in neutral for a few seconds to let the converter fill back up.

Called "morning sickness".... Google on that term. It is related to the check valve - it ~could~ be bad, but some of this is considered normal. Do the neutral thing like Tufireman suggests.
