: Maybe we should start a FAQ for buying Land Rovers?

Seems like everyone is starting to figure out that Land Rovers are really cheap to buy, unfortunately they will learn they are not cheap to build. :shaking:

We have had a lot of "looking to buy" threads lately. Anyone want to start a FAQ list of what to look for? Our usual copout for this has been down for nearly 3 months. Not sure what that means.....

lol

Is the PBB really the place for the info? Shouldn't folks be directed to someone like Rovers North?

Maybe we should have our own newbie check in thread. With links for common asked questions. Links here and elsewhere. Let OS control it so it does not get cluttered. And we can send the timewasters there first.

That info already exsists on the Web on many different sites. I don't think it's needed here.

I'm not saying I want it. It just seems since the "other" site has been down we have gotten tons of "I want to buy this, what do I need to know" questions. I personally could care less.

You kids keep this up and I'll delete this thread!!! Don't think I won't do it. :mad3:

Let's just start the Pendy and Die Lucas Dweeb lite? Or, the Pendy and Die Lucas FAQ.

Might result in depressing the purchase price of used Rovers even more if those two scare everybody away :flipoff2:

Yes, it's available elsewhere, but it's also fun to see who shows up, actually buys a truck and then stays to antagonize us.

hey... i resemble that comment...

I like the idea of a newbie check-in thread, but I'm not sure it solves the FAQ problem. maybe in the first post of the newbie check-in we put some 'net links out to buyers resources. i think the newbie traffic to pbb is only going to get higher, and honestly it won't go away with wishing. i'd rather put some roadblocks up to help divert some of the newbie stuff than to see others help me dillute the board with rubbish. damn - did i say that outloud?
