: HELP I hit a raccoon today and now I cant turn right .... this sux a$$
Pinnacle Off-Road 08-07-2004, 02:05 AM I was driving home in my 95 bronco and just put it in cruise control at 55mph and then all of a sudden a raccoon ran out and i fu**in hit it with my under carriage. I dont know what it hit but now i cant make my steering wheel turn right all the way. I can turn left just fine. But my steering wheel wont go a full turn to the right. I finally limped the Bronco home and i saw that there was fluid dripping out of the front somewhere. It feels real oily and its green. doesnt smell like antifreeze. I have know idea what is going on. Please help me fast.

45acp 08-07-2004, 03:08 AM You need to move this to the raccoon forum before the day crew sees it.
GPERX4 08-07-2004, 04:31 AM Raccoons have green blood don't worry about the fluid.
DRKelly 08-07-2004, 06:03 AM ?
Rocktoyo 08-07-2004, 06:41 AM ?
Well, now that the ballbusting is done, check for bent steering parts or a dead body jammed into the knuckle. The green stuff is likely to be coolant (thats the only green dyed domestic fluid) A bent drag link would cause it not to turn one way fully.
Grim Reaper 08-07-2004, 09:16 AM Take it to a mechanic. Its obviously out of your skill level if you having to ask how to idetify bent parts and broken radiators.
Supergper 08-07-2004, 10:06 AM dented steering dampner...
jerseyzuks 08-07-2004, 10:52 AM :shaking: :shaking: :shaking: :shaking: :shaking: :shaking: :shaking:
I have seen a lot of rigs broken by stupid chit, but this takes the cake.
You fawked up your chit on a raccoon! Don't take your truck offroad, it would probably implode!
Keith 08-07-2004, 11:01 AM here is some tech.....just for MattS :flipoff2:
FOAD.
you cant be serious. Lay under the rig and have someone turn the wheel while you watch. Or, jack up the front, turn the ignition key to on and move the tires back and forth with your hands. Quit being a stupid moron. This BB is fawking full of retarded bullshit. :shaking:
jeeplord 08-07-2004, 11:04 AM Raccoons have green blood don't worry about the fluid.
I agree, I think you should make do with only making left-hand turns.

CrustyJeep 08-07-2004, 11:57 AM Ah this is why I come to PBB. Where else can you find shit from a guy who runs over a raccoon and BEFORE EVEN BOTHERING TO LOOK UNDER HIS RIG he is asking people what's wrong. Then, in a mind boggling reversal, he becomes such an accomplished detective that he is able to tell it was the RACCOONS FOREHEAD that did the damage!
I love PBB
KeithF 08-07-2004, 12:24 PM that's some funny shit, does it get any better?
GoatASS 08-07-2004, 12:33 PM you need to find that F#*ker and make a hat out of his ass.

That's one for the signature line!
I hit a raccoons forehead once and it totally fawked up my front valance. But the rig drove fine all night til I was comming home from partying, then the brakes blew out and I almost crashed. Turned out the raccoons genitals tore the line going to the wheel cylinder. :flipoff2:

Did the steering stabilizer became a "ram" when the coon's forehead hit it? Or was there a sheep under there too? ...

Haole 08-09-2004, 11:37 AM These Broncos must be turds. I used to run over coons in my Prelude all the time and not bust a thing.
Then again, perhaps my Prelude was higher. I never hit the undercarraige with any of the critters I ran over.

landusepbb 09-15-2004, 08:31 AM A few years ago I hit a skunk with my Jeep, it stunk real bad for a couple days, I couldn't figure out what to do about it, I considered selling the Jeep but before I got around to selling it the smell went away. Boy, that was a close one, I was almost left Jeepless. I think what happened was the skunk hit his ass on my steering stabilizer and the smelly stuff got inside the steering stabilizer boot. I learned my lesson, now I don't use a boot on the steering stabilizer anymore.
