: Pendy's Band Camp

With the coming onslaught of new band members, I think it's high time that Pendy put together version 2.0 of his popular camp Pendy.

The pirates have their own rituals for membership. I think that if someone wants to earn his elite PBB rover band member status, he/she/it should have to be subjected to at least some type of questionable treatment.

What do you say Pendy. You never know what could happen, we've all heard the stories about frisky band campers. Your lamp might get broken.

How could I have missed such fun. I leave camp for an afternoon and and evening and Adam is questioning his body parts. I would love the job of weeding out the rift raft. But OS is plenty capable and soon I would have to uproot myself in all fairness. Aren't I the biggest timewaster of all here. I mean since Slade had to get a real job.

...still lurking... :D

Hard to mess around too much when my computer is in the middle of a 3-set studio and I have between 5-8 people in the room at any given time.

:(

Here's some of the fun I manage to have. (http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=SEARCH&KEYWORD=410575&GO.x=11&GO.y=8)

Send in your fun pics and I will put them on the LCD screen of digital cameras and video cameras. :D

Oh you are being too modest. Think of the fun. Live webcams of all the little band members running around in foil undies and masks around your shop. You could run a drop in center for D-weeb guys and have all the band members bolting on running boards and coil spring spacers. And finance it all by dropping Adam off at the local entertainment palace with some drivetrain parts to earn some dallah billz.

Think of the fun.

Okay let me practice on you. You got a younger sister. Can you send her on down, we need a new camp counselor. The last one is on maternity leave.

I don't do any selling, but I can do some 'suggesting'.

I 'suggest' that you don't buy your camera from Overstock. I 'suggest' that you buy it from www.pictureline.com. I 'suggest' that you spend at least $400. I also 'suggest' that you get a Nikon or Canon.

LWG- if I dropped in that pic I'd more than likely lose my job. Hmmm.....

:flipoff2:

I'll probably be at the rally, hopefully with my wife/kids driving the LWB taking it easy this year. :D

Hi Mike,

While we are on the subject of digi cams. Do you have any specific recommendations. I am a die hard old heavy film SLR user - I have a canon A1 and a few really nice lenses. But now I am in Germany me and my better half have decided to buy a digi cam to take happy snaps to email home and that sort of thing - so we just want something small and light and easy to cart around (the Canon will still be used for the high quality photos). So any tips???

Oh and Pendy, when does summer camp start next year? I am flying to the US in April.

Well...since you asked. If I were going to buy a point-and-shoot digi-cam it would be the Canon G5, no questions asked. Nikon makes a nice high-end point and shoot, but I like the shape and size of the Canon. There are a myriad of reasons why I would choose that camera, some are relevant, but most are obscure high-end reasons that the average user won't even learn about.

Hopefully that's not too condescending. :D

And no it's not too condescending, I'm sure a nerd like you knows a lot more than me about cameras - digicams especially :D

I have a 2.0 megpixie coolpix nikon. But I want a james bond pocket camera. Cybershop of some sort. For talent bar pics and such. I like the camera I got now for me. But I saw those 40dollar overstocked ones and wondered.

Izolo we can have an early session for you, fiddle about, fiddle about.
