Thanks the 22re with clutch , bellhousing etc weighs in at 380 lbs. I was inquiring about the weight because im thinking of putting a 4.3 in my yota but didnt want to increase the weight much if any. I am looking a smpi 4.3 not the tbi , he has a good price I guess but I can get alot newer motor , more HP,Torque, Etc for just a couiple hunfred more not to mention being balenced so you can take it.:D

How much less does a 4.3 weigh than a SBC 350?

I've always been told a 4.3L weighs 75-100 lbs less than a 350.

yeah, im gonna rebuild it and balance it then trick it out :D

I have a book here that says that the 4.3L weighs 450lbs and that is weighs about 100lbs less than a 350.

I thought the sbc 350 weighed about 550lb. :D
