i was up there about a couple of weeks after the last Pirates of the Rubicons organized Bassi clean up. i heared the place was spotless after they hauled thousands of pounds of garbage out.
by the time me and my friends got there to enjoy the weekend
the place was totally destroyed. trash all around campfires, tons of broken beer bottles all over the waterfall area, truck parts, a broken windshild hundreds of shotgun shells, old clothes, a couple of large green trash bags full of campground garbage stuffed under a big rock up at the falls, you get the picture. we ended up hauling a truck load of shit out of there just from the waterfall area alone! it was very, very sad to see Bassi like that. cant really blame them for shutting it down...:(

Where's another place like it to wheel? I've never been there, but isn't it a good place for snow runs, and more intermediate (sp) wheeling?

Damn that sucks, I like that place, but you guys are right, people hella thrash it... theres some cool places off 20 but that is kinda far for me, guess its just prairie for now.

Bassie is Closed More then Likely Because of the JACK ASS WANNA BE 4WHEELER that Goes out there I KNOW OF EVERY Memorial DAY WEEKEND and CUTS TREES DOWN FOR THE FUWK OF IT. He has been doing it for the last few years that I know of maybe longer. I don't know if anyone Remembers my Post about it Awhile back.


And God only knows how many other weekends he has done it.
I know that last Memorial day he cut down about 6 trees for the hell of it.. What a DUMB FUwK:mad3:

If you see shit happening, call people on their shit! Most of the people that leave their shit everywhere are drunk ignorant kids that have no respect. So many people take the easy way out and don't call people on their shit because they don't want the confrontation. But if wheelers as a group cannot police themselves then we will see more trail closings.

Everyone knows what a mess is left in just about every area anymore. This is one reason I;ll be calling for a clean up of the moon rocks area outside Reno before the June event. Anytime we go anywhere, we have to be ready to police others trash, and the actions if we see them.

As for mossberg and 85rocrnr I'll gladly promote a settlement to this name calling and such.

ps I don't know either of you (I think). side bets and gambling is against the law, but...............................................

If I come into your camp I'am sure I may leave a few cans in your garbage area, is this what u mean, r u bitching about a few more cans in your trash? I was just up there saturday, so when did this happen?

When we left amador the site was spotless, as will be all the spots we will be having our events in the future.

As for the toilets, that is an issue that has been beat to death, but here it goes. The toilets were to be cleaned but, never were, as promoter I've taken the responsibility and have assured all that the conditions will be better at the next events.

Its sad to hear that Bassi is closed. We got to see the area for the first time last year with some new friends. Whenever we have been on the trails or camping we always make sure to pick up any trash we see. We always carry trash bags in our rigs & do our best to help clean up. It sucks to have to clean up after others but we do it because we love the outdoors. Just remember all age groups leave trash on the trails & gun shells.:p

There weren't any around at all, I would have seen something since I was stopped at the begining to unlock but they could have moved them in on sunday.
