Wondering how much work and fabrication it would take to get an f-250/350's solid front axle into a 91 f-150? and what year axles i can use. Thanks.

solid axles were available in 86 and later f350's only and in all trucks prior to 81(i believe this is the body change year) . after 80 or 81 there was not a solid axle in a f250 until the recent 99 modles.

with that said, it is very easy to cnvert the front end to a solid axle. all you have to do is weld front and rear spring hangers, and bolt the axle up. you will also have to change out the rear end when you do this swap as the lug patterns will not match

one big problem is the the IFS crossmember on your F-150. You will need a big (6-8") lift or you will have to put a big notch in it to clear the axle assembly. Good luck.
