: Toyota pump to saginaw box???

Can I use my present toyota p/s pump to power my saginaw box? Or will this pump not have enough power.
I have a mini p/s conversion already but need more power to move the 37's in the rocks.
I assume the price of custom hoses will be nuts....if I can find them.

I have done the opposite several times, Saginaw pump to Toyota box.... in fact have the part number of an off the shelf hose that works, it is my understanding it is the Toyota pump that is lacking.

I've run a stock 2F with stock Toyota Pump to a saginaw box and it worked fine. That was with 33" and 35" tires.

Not really. I think I paid about $35 for a high pressure hose for this setup. However, The shop that made it did reuse a piece of the stock Toyota hose. It was the end that connected to the pump. Look for a hydraulic or agriculture shop in your area.

I'm running a Toyota pump to a Saginaw box, no problems so far... The only problem I had, was getting the high pressure line made. I finally went to a shop that repairs heavy equipment hydrolics, they fixed me right up.
(Shop had a 40 out front...a sign maybe?)

Does the toyota pump offer enough pressure for the saginaw box?
I was thinking that it may give an in-between to much boost and not enough (as my mini truck p/s does right now).

FWIIW: Fj 60 pressure hose fits both Saginaw and Toy PS.

I've been running this for the past 3 years. works fine with the 33's. I did it because the toy pump was already on the engine and ready to go, so I hooked it up to see how it would work.
no problems so far. .

If your pump uses the o ring fitting, we used a Power Craft brand 71372 part
number, from O' Reilly's auto parts. My parts guy took the book and found 2
that had the correct fittings. One had a bend that I did not need. I have
also had them made, using compression fittings. Power Craft is out of Dixon
Ill.

Last time I checked, the Saginaw and Toyota pumps have pretty much the same specs in terms of volume and pressure. In fact, there is very little variation in the specs of different types of pumps.
