MOM- after your subjections that I need to buy my shock mounts from RTE . I thought I would share with you just how easy & cheap they are to make.
The lower rear mount is a freaking breeze. make.
I do not have a digital camera so I popped some extra parts into the scanner.
parts needed:
10" of 1/4" strap bent in a regular old shop press. $1.00
one ready made shock mount from AAmfg $1.65
two knee braces $0.15 ea
six to eight minutes with a mig and drill two hole and your done!

FYI Mom is mean green63, when he was first on POR his screen name was YOUR MOM.

The 210 dollars I didn't spend on shock mounts makes me an ass?
So are you going to spend $1800 on a Bumpers and $650 on sliders?

never said you were an ass for paying that for shock mounts. i think its pretty fawkin cool that you made them yourself. but dont go blaming the shocks when you made a calculation error.
and once again man, i would have made them too but i DIDNT HAVE A WELDER AT THE TIME

1 piece of plate, shaped like a bar with 2 ears at one end, drill holes in ears, bend them almost vertical, drill hole in bar, paint and bolt on. (I just said paint to make the carefull guys feel good)

No miss calculations and you better go back and read my post about why I bought Billstiens.
My error was trying to stuff 9012's under a 3"of RTE lift. With an extra 1" of lift or a shorter shock or a different valve ratio from Rancho things would of be great. It was just easer to take BOB up on his great deal on Bilstiens.
What did you have for breakfast a bowl of Boner?

nah, i had Rice Krispies :D
but it does seem strange that your mounts with 9012s didnt work that well with a 3" RT lift, but the RT shock mounts, 9012s, and a 1.5" OME lift works great on mine

Bullshit no way you can get a 9012 ( 18.94" compressed/32.91 ext/travel of 13.97") on a RRC with only 1.5" of lift and RTE's standard old mounts.
