new to scouts i bought a 78 traveller.
The t-case is rough, i was wondering what case it has standard and is it 2wh, 4wh and 4wL,

As far as I know, all Scouts from 70 (?) to 79 had a Dana 20 as a 2 speed case, 1980 got the Dana 300. Some Scouts got a single speed case.

That would be no. My personal experience with 1980's is about 50/50. It seems like the 1980's with automatics were more likely to have a D20 mated to it. It also seems like the 196/t19 equipped 1980's most likely have D300's.
