ok its a EB 44 and i want to run flattops. i made the mistake of getting a set of f250 knuckles and now the calipers wont fit. (this axle has already been converted to discs in front from i think 79 bronco) so what i want to do (since i cant for the life of me find any f150 supercab knuckles) is run the chevy knuckles, and spindles and try to get away using the 1/2 ton brakes. will the ford hub/rotor fit on a chevy spindle? i want to keep the 5 on 5.5 pattern. i read something about a small spindle?? do i have to use the chevy hub/rotor/calipers and then go 6 lug?

searched some more and found that i can use the ford hub/rotor on the small chevy spindle (1/2 ton) is this corrrect? 2 more questions now - will i have to change the stub shaft to the chevy shaft, or can i still use the ford? i found some chevy knuckles, where can i get them drilled + tapped for high steer arms?

Yes the stub will work just fine.

Parts Mike has Flat tops ready to go and will just swap you out for milled and drilled ones.

thanks, but i am having a hell of a time finding 1/2ton supercab knuckles. if i do parts mikes' knuckles i beleive it is the chevy style 6 stud setup. then i would need the chevy caliper bracket. will a ford caliper fit on a chevy caliper bracket? will i have to use chevy caliper? will the chevy calipers work with ford hubs/rotors?

Chebby caliper will work on the ford Hub and rotor. Go to pic and pull and grab the bracket and caliper cores. Vato Zone has rebuilt loaded calipers dirt cheap and the Ford hub and rotors for next to nothing.

Loaded (with pads) Rebuilt calipers. Vatozone. Cheap core if you strike out at PnP

I'd really recommend the GM calipers, they are a much better design than the Ford caliper. I am running this same set up on my EB D44. GM knuckle, GM spindle, GM caliper brakcket, GM caliper, Ford hub, Ford rotor, Ford disc, and Ford lockouts. And I used the Ford outer axle shafts and just left off the outer axle shaft c-clip that goes on the splines.

the GM brake setup will still fit in a 15" rim, correct?
