Now I know this isnt that hard core, but do any of you have a secret as to how to get that damn bushing out of the main eye on the spring?
its the outer metal sleeve thats the problem.
I've had to do this for 3 sets of springs, and I think I hate this part of working on jeeps the most. So far today I've broken a craftsman vice and 2 screw drivers and I dont even have 1 bushing out.
blue flame wrench and a lot of fresh air

1. Soak the bolt in PB blaster. WD-40 doesn't work. PB is the bomb.
2. Take a torch to the bushing and burn the crap out of it. Let it sit there intil the rubber melts away and the sleeve is red hot.
3. Get really mad. Then take a BFH and start beating the crap out of the bolt.
4. Then take your air ratchet and spin the bolt head with it and at the same time start to pull the bolt out with a set of vice grips. Wedge the grips betwen the spring hanger and the bolt head as you pull and turn.
5. Drink a refreshing beverage. Relax. Repeat.
I had to do this on my YJ. Ended up having to cut the head off the bolt and beat the hell out of it from both sides. Jeeps are fun!

its not removing the springs from the vehicle thast the problem, its that outer metal sleeve in the spring main eye bushing. I can get them out, and have before, but its time consuming and never pretty. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a really easy way to do it.
Cut the sleeve. Then bend it in half and push it out. Easy ;) use your choice of cutting implement ;)

RSQJEEP, I just got a laugh out of your number 4 suggestion. Someone is going to hurt themselves if they try that!!! Spin the bolt with the air ratchet and at the same time grab it with the Vise Grips...OUCH!!!   It will take the pain away!:D :D :D

What Mo said plus an air hammer with a chisel tip to get the sleeve out thats about as easy as it gets.

I did it 2 different ways about 2 weeks ago. My first method was a hacksaw to cut through the sleeve then use a chisel and hammer to bend it into itself then to push it out. 2nd, I found a socket that fit and pushed it along with the bushing out in a 12 ton press.

I fumbled around burning cutting and pounding out the busing and sleeve and it took me about a half hour. My buddy showed up said here dumb ass let me try. we put the spring eye over a couple of 2X4's he grabbed a socket the same diameter as the bushing and sleeve. Wacked it with a sledge and it slipped right out. We did this with some other springs as well worked like a charm. Hope it saves you some time.
