There is apparently someone running a scam on the IZOOK classifieds . So if you sell parts on there be aware. He is going by the name tony bob and email address Tommyjik@yahoo.com saying he is from Africa and gives you the name of the shipping company to get with and then he sends you a bad check several people have been fooled by this person. He may be lurking through differant boards also . Just a warning for you all .

Several months ago when I sold a samurai through the autotrader a guy named Tony and a guy named Jimmy called about it. They were both from Africa and wanted to have me pay for shipping them to them and they would send a check for almost twice the cost of the sammy to cover it all. Definately be cautious with stuff like this, it was definately a scam and about a week later the evening news did a report on this very same thing.

Been doing long distance business for years with no problems. My policy is, I won't ship till your check clears the bank. NO EXCEPTIONS. It weeds out the flakey ones real fast.

Ive had no problems, Ive sent stuff to netherlands, canada, philipines and puerto rico. Why would anyone send something before the actually had the money in hand.
One guy sent me a bad check on purpose I turned it into the state attorneys office, by the time it was said and done I had DOUBLE the selling price in cash and he got his junk.

Yup, I had encounter with this same guy, called about my Zuk, a while back, said some guy in Canada owes him $$$ so he'll get him to send me a check for almost double what I wanted for the truck, in exchange for the truck and I would need to cash the check and give the guy the balance of the $$$ for shipping.. but had to be done the same day as I received the check.... LMAO!!! I let him have a piece of my mind real quick!

What if they pay by paypal, and you get the package insured so they have to sign for the package. I am selling a carb to a guy in holland, but shipping was to expensive, so he is sending it to his uncle in Canada. Which was coming over to visit him in october.
