David Rock Ape 08-18-2004, 11:16 PM Stay away from the 98 and newer ones the harness is a pain to modify and if you pay some one they will charge you almost as much as it would cost to buy a painless.Also the 98 and newer ecu has the vats system and you will need a 96-97 ecu or a module to bypass it.If I had it to do again I would go for a 93-95 stay away from the obdII engines unless you are doing a smog legal swap.Also do not use (speed scene wiring) for what ever harness or ecu mods you need done ,I have been waiting almost two months for my ecu that was supposed to take two weeks!! :flipoff: xtrm-s10 08-18-2004, 11:21 PM get a 94 or older tbi. (Lucky bastard :flipoff2: ) We have three '93 S-10s in the family. One TBI and two are CPI. Nothing but a freak-show with the CPI models :shaking: My Bro swapped one of the CPI's over to a '96 SFI and left all the problems behind.
