I got these parts new for $160. High-flow cat, MagnaFlow (glorified) glasspack and 6' of 2.25" aluminized tube. I had the exhaust guy put three bends in the tube, 10*, 20* and 30*.
After the fact I was afraid the cat wouldn't work up to par because the muff doesn't offer much back pressure.
It actually works pretty good and the muff stays reasonably cool.
It was better than paying $400 for Midas to do it.

Does the cat count as a spark arrester? I'm pretty sure the muffler doesn't...

My only complaint would be if it sits a lot lower then the frame rails. But the pics don't give a very good perspective of that.

These pics aren't as updated as the some other changes. Since the pics I've taken out a 1" body lift and pulled the exhaust up 1.5" higher. I need to take a pic from the side level. It has really good clearance. The skid still needs to be finished but it'll protect the cat. The muff is above the axle for the most part and the only possible contact can be made just ahead of the rear spring hanger, a tiny short section of tube exposed.
As for the cat being a spark arrestor, I have no idea, you can barely see through the mesh and the exhaust is fairly long compared to a bike. I've no experience with spark arresting requirements on a rig but would like some info if you have some.

Pretty much any muffler with baffles counts, and super traps count. What you have doesn't look like it would be legit because it's a straight-through glass-pack. I don't know about the cat, which is why I asked, but I suspect they are not considered spark arresters.
That's the way it is up here in WA; if it's different down your way, I'd expect it to be more strict if anything.

Well, atleast the cat is restriced by tight mesh. Worst case scenario would be a Super Trap defuser end which would be nice to adjust back pressure but a rock hanger without some kind of guard.

My only concern is the hole in your floor :flipoff2: Looks good. If you ever have to redo it, let me know. There is a shop in San MAteo called Exhaust Works. The guys is SUPER bad, and very cheap.

Dima, This whole thing took me around two hours without breaking a sweat, I ain't gonna pay someone when I could do it that easy.
Yea, the floor is still in question. Having to run the remote fill neck on the cell for the smog tech sucks but maybe I'll switch to the flush cap after the test. I got two weekends, less two Wednesday nights to finish it.
Thanks
