Alright here's my scenario. I just went and picked up another driveline, and the yoke was different from the one I have, and I an going to swap them. But my problem is that the spiders are different widths, and the caps are different diameters. I am trying to fit the larger caps onto the original spider, but it is two wide. My question is, can I grind the spider to narrow it? Will this hurt it in anyway? Do I have to worry about anything breaking?

i hope your going from like chevy 1/2 ton 3 1/4 between tabs 1 1/16 cap to like 3 5/8 cross and a 1 1/8 cap - or even maybe a 1 3/16 cap like 1 ton or sone thing - give me what you think you have or e-mail pics and i'll put this one to rest- -frowhlr@saber.net --Jess :D
