Exploding water separator.

One of our punch presses at work has an air feeder and there is a water separator attached to the table that the air feeder is mounted on. This afternoon for no reason at all (the air feeder was not even in use) the plastic jar on the water separator literally exploded sending the shrapnel as far as 20 feet away. The sintered bronze filter hit me in the knee and actually broke the skin even though I was wearing heavy coveralls. :eek: Very bizarre, has this happened to any of you before?

yea ive had one go not pretty, i think the poly carbonate bowls don't like brake clean or any type of cleaners, it causes them to get very small cracks in them, them boom there go's the eyes
