I installed my 8 valve 1.6 and sidekick transmission in my sami 2 days ago. Filled the tranny properly and had no leaks until tonight. I belive it is leaking out of the rear seal (which I can not seem to find on partsamerica.com for some reason?). I installed the custom intermediate shaft and it was a pretty tight fit...no slip at the tranny splines at all. Is this what caused the seal to leak? How hard is it to replace? is there anything else that could have broken causing it to leak?

ok s It is not leaking out of the tail shaft but from somewhere further forward I believe. How much slip should there be in the shaft at the tranny tail?

It's possible that you simply damaged the seal when you re-installed the shaft.
