My Fiance has a 96 Cherokee that is automatic and a 2wd(dont ask) and I am thinking of swapping out a five speed and going to 4wd. Is there any difference in the frame btwn 4wd and 2wd? What axles would work for the swap? How hard would changing out the automatic for a standard? Please Help (I am a cruiser guy and have noooooo experience with Jeeps~THanks in advance!):usa: :usa:

They are exactly Identical. It is a complete bolt in operation the holes are already in place you just need to remove the plates that cover then. Just fing a 4X version and ge the tranny /T-case-front axle.

ANy hang up on switching out the automatic setup for the five spd? I was thking interior as well.. (watched a buddy switch out the automatic tranny in an old mustand for standard and what a Pain that was!).. I was thinking that it should just bolt in with some help but maybe we should stay automatic? What do you think
