Will using teflon tape on the temp sensor affect the reading of the guage ? Or will using the tape on the sender fitting affect the reading? I kinda remember somone
saying not to use any tape on the temp sender as it does not allow for a good ground. Any idea on this ? Thanks

The temp sender grounds through the threads. If you put too much tape on, it may not make good contact between the head and threads. Chances are, as you tighten down the sender, the tip of the threads will break through the tape and ground to the head. Just try it and measure the continuity between the head and the body of the sender. If it is less than 0.1 ohm, they you are just fine.
