Hey ya'll I'm trying to find some parts for the Lock O Matic hubs does anyone have a source? I know that warn made them but warns site doesn't have a whole lot of break down on parts. I did a search but no go on responses.

thanks for the help.

ANother thing while I'm here would the outers from the front d44 disk setup work on a Jeep? I have a line on an axle for cheap and I've heard the scout uses D30 outers "I have a cj here and it sure looks the same.. except my d30 has drums.. hehe

O and if you wanna p&m about my content :flipoff2: This is the IH forum so I posted an IH question :D

Scout 44s use 8 stud spindles. I believe Chevy and Ford use 6 stud.

Warn did original build the Lock-O-Matics, but they stopped many moons ago and do not support them anymore. Might be worth a call however if you can find a knowledgeable tech/part person. I have heard of the occasional part still being on there shelves, but probably not.

Next best source would be to start calling some of the IH specific vendors and talk with them see what kind of parts they have a line on. Or ebay and collect enough worn out units to get a good set of parts that you need.

As for the outers? "D30" stuff is a bad description IMO, cause for Scout guys, its all D44 stuff :D Scout open knuckle front ends use 27-spline outers just like early jeep offerings. But the axle yoke (inner "C") is the same as all D44's so outer knuckles and parts can be swapped freely to get the combination of parts you need. Scout D44's also used the 297 u-joint (the "big" D44 one) so outer stub shafts can be swapped with most popular D44 stuff as well.

What parts are you looking for I am selling off all of my IH stuff in favor of a Yamaha Rhino (part of sales agreement with wife).

I have two spare sets of lock-o-matics, one set with good parts the other with cracked cage but still operational, make me an offer and there all yours, have spare spindles as well. You can get rotors reasonable new check around on them I think there the same ones used on 75? CJ's.

Sorry don't have spare of the piece that replaces nut and Locking washer.

Let me know what your interested in.

I think Super Scout Specialists offers a rebuild service for lockomatics. I never found a parts source, and as I recall, the damned things aren't completely identical throughout their production run, so piecing them together from a junkyard isn't too easy, and all of the sprag cages seem to be worn out anyway. **Just found my old SSS catalog - they USED TO offer a hub rebuilding service - don't know if they still do or what the price is.
